Generate and download images with the managed AI API

Use a certified image model and save an authenticated output artifact before it expires.

Before you start

An image model must be enabled in the live catalog. The initial SD 1.5 path supports one image, 64–512 pixel dimensions in multiples of 64, and 1–30 steps; it does not certify SDXL or video.

Steps

  1. List models and check the image model’s current limits and pricing.
  2. Prepare a JSON request with the enabled model ID, input prompt, and optional supported width, height, steps, seed, and project_id.
  3. Submit with a unique idempotency key and wait for completion.
  4. Download the result to a new local file through the authenticated request download command.
  5. Save the file promptly: the current managed artifact path expires outputs after 24 hours. Check the output before using it.

Example

ispeed-ctl requests submit --body-file image.json --idempotency-key image-example-0001
ispeed-ctl requests wait REQUEST_ID
ispeed-ctl requests download REQUEST_ID --file result.png

Check the result

A private image artifact downloads successfully and the CLI verifies its checksum.

Troubleshooting

The downloader does not overwrite existing files. Choose a new filename if needed. Unsupported dimensions, disabled models, insufficient funds, and expired artifacts require different remedies.
