Before you start

Have an indexed document selected in the intended service or workspace. AI answers can be incorrect; validate important claims against the source.

Steps

  1. Open AI Chat from your DocVault service.
  2. Select the document or workspace you want to query and confirm processing has completed.
  3. Ask a focused question such as “What deadline is listed in section 2?” rather than a question unrelated to the source.
  4. Read the answer and any cited snippets or references. Open the document preview to verify the relevant passage.
  5. Use follow-up questions to narrow ambiguous answers and preserve the conversation you need through the available session controls.

Check the result

The answer refers to information in the selected indexed content and can be checked against the source.

Troubleshooting

“I do not know” can mean the answer is absent, the wrong scope is selected, or indexing is not ready. Check those conditions before re-uploading. Report repeatable first-load failures to support with the document/session ID.
