Before you start
Open the intended DocVault AI service. Check file format, size, page, and storage limits displayed by your plan.
Steps
- Upload a supported document through Library or AI Chat.
- Watch its indexing status and wait until processing succeeds. Avoid asking questions while the file is queued or still indexing.
- Open the document preview to confirm that it contains readable text or supported content.
- If you replace the source or indexing failed, use the available Reindex action and wait for completion.
- Ask a specific question whose answer is clearly present in the document and inspect the cited context.
Check the result
The document is marked ready and chat retrieves relevant document content.
Troubleshooting
A blank scan, encrypted PDF, corrupt file, unsupported format, or unavailable processing worker can prevent indexing. If a refresh changes the result unexpectedly, report the document ID and time without attaching private content unnecessarily.
