Create an S3 compatible object storage service

Choose a storage plan and obtain the service-specific bucket and credentials.

Before you start

Select the owning account and an available Object Storage plan. Decide which files need long-term retention.

Steps

  1. Choose Object Storage in Explore services and review the plan, capacity, and billing terms.
  2. Set a display name and bucket configuration requested by the wizard. Review optional features such as versioning before enabling them.
  3. Submit the order once and wait until the bucket is ready.
  4. Open Object Storage Details to read the actual bucket name, endpoint, region, access key, and secret key.
  5. Keep credentials in a secret manager and use Browse Files or an S3-compatible client to upload a small test file.

Check the result

The test file is listed in the correct bucket and downloads successfully.

Troubleshooting

The display name may differ from the provider’s bucket identifier; use the exact service details. Object storage credentials are not console API keys. Canceling a bucket can permanently delete its contents.
