Create a VPS with the right operating system and billing mode

Deploy a virtual server from the current provider plans and operating system catalog.

Before you start

Select the account and project that should own the VPS. Have wallet funds and a secure root credential ready.

Steps

  1. Choose VPS in Explore services and select an available region and plan.
  2. Review CPU, RAM, disk, networking, and whether the plan is on-demand or a subscription.
  3. Select an operating system from the options shown by the provider. Do not assume an image remains available because it appeared in an older guide.
  4. Enter the service name and required root credential. On Review, confirm the account, plan, operating system, location, and billing mode.
  5. Submit once and wait for provisioning. Open My services to read the assigned IPv4 address and current status.

Check the result

The VPS belongs to your customer account and displays its provisioned address and configuration.

Troubleshooting

Public IP addresses are assigned after purchase, not supplied in advance. RDU VPS service currently offers IPv4; do not assume IPv6 support. Report provisioning problems with the service ID rather than repeatedly ordering.
